Enjoy this picturesque little island located on the south side of Roatan.
Originally populated by a small community of settlers of English descent, the island is now owned by native islanders who have turned it into one of the best beach spots in all of Roatan.
To get to this natural island paradise, you must first set sail from a dock located on the main island. It is approximately a three minute ride to the Private Island & Beach Club.
The scenery at the cays is quite stunning and just what you would expect in such a tropical Caribbean setting. Upon arrival, you will be mesmerized by the radiant turquoise and bluish hues above and below water that contrast perfectly with the tropical foliage surrounding the entire property. To the east, only a few breast strokes away, lies the smaller sibling of these isles. To the south you will find the waves crashing into the MesoAmerican reef wall which is not far behind.
One of this Private Island and Beach Club's main attraction has to be a short, but beautiful and serene, white sandy beach, the ideal spot to basque in the sun. A large inflatable slide sits on shallow water - fun for the entire family. If you feel you have gotten more than enough sun, you can simply move on to the shade and enjoy the breeze in your choice of swings, hammocks, beach or lounge chairs.
The bar and restaurant is a wooden structure adjacent to a mangrove forest, with a high ceiling-thatched roof where you can find a well supplied bar with premium liquor in addition to a food menu centering mostly on easy to eat finger food dishes. They also offer fresh water showers, restrooms, and a children's day care center including baby-sitters so the adults can spend the entire day at the beach.
You will find that this destination makes for a beautiful and relaxing setting, with plenty of water sports available for those looking for a bit more action. It also offers a unique and different snorkeling experience in Roatan, a snorkeling site nearby filled with replicas of Mayan ruins accentuating the seafloor.
