Roatan Nurse Shark Snorkeling Tour with Lunch

Roatan Nurse Shark Snorkeling Tour with Lunch

Forget the taxi. Forget the bus. Your adventure begins the moment you step off the ship. We pick you up by boat right at the cruise port and take you straight into the Caribbean Sea. No roads, no crowds, just six hours of pure ocean from the very first minute.

This is Roatán’s East End as very few visitors ever get to experience it: remote, wild, breathtaking, and far from the usual cruise crowds. This is a full sea day designed for guests who want more than just a quick snorkeling stop. Here, the ocean is the true star of the day, and the nurse sharks are the unforgettable highlight.

Your tour includes 3 snorkeling stops, each one revealing a different side of Roatán’s marine beauty.

You will begin at Fort Morgan Cay, one of the most historically evocative spots in the entire Caribbean. This is Port Royal, the same bay where Henry Morgan, Blackbeard, and countless pirates once anchored their fleets in the 1600s, using it as a base to raid Spanish shipping routes throughout the region. The remains of a centuries-old pirate fort still stand on the island today. Beneath the surface, a sunken ship rests silently on the seafloor, its hull now draped in coral and alive with marine life, a hauntingly beautiful reminder of the waters these pirates once ruled.

Your second stop is the Blue Channel in Roatán’s East End, a natural underwater corridor of exceptionally clear water far from tourist traffic, where colorful tropical fish move freely through the reef in every direction.

Fishing rods are also available on board for guests who would like to do a little fishing between stops.

Then comes the moment everyone remembers: Pigeon Cay and the nurse sharks. In warm, shallow, crystal-clear Caribbean water, you will have the rare opportunity to snorkel near these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. No cages, no barriers, no crowds, just an extraordinary encounter in one of the most beautiful and least visited parts of the island.

No diving certification is required, making this a perfect option for guests who want a shark adventure without being certified divers.

Your final stop is Jade Beach on Barbareta Island, a secluded stretch of white sand where you can swim, relax, and take in the beauty of this hidden corner of Roatán. It is the perfect ending to a day built entirely around the sea.

A fresh island-style lunch is served on board, together with water, soft drinks, and a couple of cold beers, making this a complete and unhurried Caribbean day from beginning to end.
