60 km (37 miles) long and less than 8 km (4 miles) wide, Bay Islands of Honduras, Roatán, is located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, and is the largest of Honduras' Bay Islands. Unlike other cruise ship ports Roatan has kept it's rustic, Caribbean charm and is not a typical cruise ship port where you find big shopping districts and attractions within walking distance. You will find shops located in and close to the cruise ship terminals but the real attraction of Roatan is its lush vegetation, stunning beaches, spectacular views and pristine coral reef, all of which is best explored on an independent tour.

Our tours are operated by professional and well-established operations with good reputations for customer service and safety, and our group sizes are small.
A guide is always there to meet customers at the cruise ship dock or their hotel, and you will receive clear meeting point instructions on confirmation of your reservation. Transportation costs are included in all tour prices quoted.

Two-Tank Dive Excursion for Certified Divers – North Shore
Located on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef system, the second largest barrier reef in the whole world, Roatan is famous for having the biggest variety of coral, sponges and marine life in the whole Caribbean!
For this excursion you will be scuba diving with one of Roatan's best dive shops, Subway Watersports, a PADI 5* Resort and Instructor Development Center.
After picking you up from the cruise ship terminal you will enjoy a scenic drive across the island to the resort. You can ask your driver to stop for pictures at any point, or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
All of our dive sites are located within a 5-10 minute boat ride from the dive shop. You will experience breathtaking pristine dive sites with drop offs, canyons, swim throughs and an amazing variety of coral and marine life. And being located on the quiet east end of the island you will enjoy private mooring lines just for you!
You will have time to do two dives during your shore excursion. Depending on conditions you will have the option to stay on the boat for the surface interval or to come back to the shop for a break.
A PADI Divemaster guides all of our certified divers, which we take out in small groups per guide.
After your dives you can choose to head back to the cruise ship or relax and enjoy some time on the beach, at the pool or in the bar or restaurant located on site at Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort.
Prices:
This 2-tank dive excursion costs $95 per person, which includes tanks, weights and transportation from/to the cruise ship terminal. If you need to rent equipment we charge $35 for a complete set (Mask, Snorkel, Fins, BCD, Regulator, Wetsuit) for the day. Individual items can also be rented for per item rates. Nitrox can also be reserved for an additional $10/tank.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving for Non-Certified Beginner Divers
Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater but you don’t want to commit to a certification course? Well, wonder no more!
This program allows those who have never tried it to safely experience the thrill of scuba diving under the close supervision of one of our experienced Instructors.
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to but after a few minutes, we know you’ll fall in love with the underwater world!
With this excursion you will do your first Scuba Dive experience with one of Roatan's best dive shops, Subway Watersports, a PADI 5* Resort and Instructor Development Center.
After picking you up from the cruise ship terminal you will enjoy a scenic drive across the island to the resort where you will meet your PADI Instructor. After a short presentation you will then be geared up and taken to the pool, or shallow water, to practice some of the basic scuba diving skills.
Once you are comfortable in the pool your Instructor will take you on a 45-60 minute dive on the reef, to a maximum or 12m/40ft. Here you will have the opportunity to experience Roatan's beautiful reefs and see a variety of different marine life and soft and hard corals.
All of our dive sites are located within a 5-10 minute boat ride from the dive shop. You will experience breathtaking pristine dive sites with drop offs, canyons, swim throughs and an amazing variety of coral and marine life. And being located on the quiet east end of the island you will enjoy private mooring lines just for you!
Our maximum group size is 4 students per instructor. You must be at least 10 years old to participate in this experience.
After your dives you can choose to head back to the cruise ship or relax and enjoy some time on the beach, at the pool or in the bar or restaurant located on site at Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort.
The cost of the DSD is $110/person and includes transportation, equipment rental, classroom and pool instruction as well as an open water dive. Additional dives can be purchased for $60/dive, including tanks and weights.
Open Water Course Referral Dives
If you would like to complete all or part of your PADI (or other dive organization) scuba diving course on your visit here, you have come to the right place!
With this excursion you can do your referral course dives with one of Roatan’s top dive shops, Subway Watersports, a PADI 5-Star Resort and Instructor Development Centre. You can finish your Open Water Diver course with one of our experienced PADI Instructors in the clear Caribbean waters of Roatan, it doesn’t get much better than that!
We simply require copies of your referral paperwork from you previous dive shop to complete your dives, including a cleared medical questionnaire.
After picking you up from the cruise ship terminal you will enjoy a scenic drive across the island to the resort where you will meet your PADI Instructor before heading out on one of our boats.

Boat Snorkelling Excursion

You will have time to do two hour-long snorkels during your shore excursion. Depending on conditions you will have the option to stay on the boat for the surface interval or to come back to the shop for a break in between.
PADI Divemasters guides all of our snorkelers, which we take out in small groups per guide.
After your snorkels you can choose to head back to the cruise ship or relax and enjoy some time on the beach, at the pool or in the bar or restaurant located on site at Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort.

Kayak/Snorkel Excursion
Enjoy Kayaking along mangroves and snorkelling by boat on Roatan’s amazing coral reef as well as spectacular views of the island. This tour has it all!
After picking you up from the cruise ship terminal you will enjoy a scenic drive across the island to the resort. You can ask your driver to stop for pictures at any point, or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
Upon arrival at our shop, your experienced guide will provide you with life vests and snorkel gear and explain basic paddling techniques for your sit-on-top style kayak before you set off on your adventure.
Kayaking will be on the quiet north shore of Roatan in the calm water behind the barrier reef along the deserted beaches and mangroves.
After an hour of kayaking you will switch on to a bigger boat that takes you out for an hour of snorkeling on the spectacular coral reef.
After your excursion you can choose to head back to the cruise ship or relax and enjoy some time on the beach, at the pool or in the bar or restaurant located on site at Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort.
Kayakers of all abilities are welcome to experience the beauty, the nature and the fun of this half-day trip. However, you must be reasonably fit and be a good swimmer for this moderately strenuous excursion. Not recommended for kids younger than 10 years.

Deep Sea Half or Full day Fishing Trips
Enjoy a full or half day of deep sea fishing on a privately chartered boat!
After picking your group up from the cruise ship terminal you will enjoy a scenic drive across the island to the resort. You can ask your driver to stop for pictures at any point, or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
Your tour will include transportation, a privately chartered boat, Captain, fuel, Divemaster guide, non-alcoholic drinks, a packed lunch, snacks, and all required gear.
The cost of the full day trip is $775, for up to five people and any additional passengers pay $65/person.
Half day $350 for up to 5 passengers, $35/additional guest and includes transportation, your privately chartered boat, Captain, fuel, Divemaster guide, non-alcoholic drinks and all required gear.

Caribbean Beach Day Excursion
Spend a relaxing day away from the cruise ship crowds on the private beach at Turquoise Bay Dive & Resort.
After picking you up from the cruise ship terminal you will enjoy a scenic drive across the island to the resort. You can ask your driver to stop for pictures at any point, or you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
Your Beach Day excursion includes:
Transportation, use of the private beach and sport facilities (swimming pool, volley ball court), and all amenities like free wifi, lounge chairs, hammocks, beach tables, umbrellas, showers, towels, lockers, dressing room & toilets.
There is a beach bar and a restaurant where you can purchase drinks, snacks and meals. Also available on site for an additional charge are kayaks and stand up paddle boards.
US $25 per person, including transport from the cruise ship to the beach and back.

Here is how the cruise ship pick up works:
MAHOGANY BAY
Please exit the gated cruise terminal area via the covered gangway.
Make an immediate left, and follow the paved road up past the security
gate. Continue down the hill to the assembly area. This is a 250
yards, 5 minute walk.
Look for someone holding a Subway Watersports sign. If you can’t see
us ask one of the other dispatchers and they will point us out. If
for some reason we are not there ask a dispatcher to call the
following number: 9959-1140 (dive shop).
COXEN HOLE
Outside the cruise ship dock, across the street, look for someone
holding a Subway Watersports sign. If you can’t see us ask a
dispatcher to point us out or call the following number: 9959-1140
(dive shop).
We are expecting you on _____________ 2016, onboard the __________________(cruise ship). For ships arriving before 7am local time, departure is at 7am local time.
Be aware that local time can differ from ship time by 1 or 2 hours.
Please check with your onboard services what the difference is. For
all other arrival times, try to get off the ship as soon as you can.
Transport is scheduled to leave 30 minutes after arrival of the ship.
We ask all guests to please be at the meeting point 10 minutes before
the departure time. To avoid inconvenience for customers who are
waiting we will wait for any remaining customers for 30 minutes after
the first customer finds their way to the meeting point. After this
time the tour will depart without any latecomers. If you arrive after
this time you will need to make your own way to the dive centre.
Please call us on one of the above numbers to let us know you are on
your way.
Please remember to bring your certification card (if diving), cash to pay for the
balance due and gratuities for the crew. Please note that your
balance will be subject to a 15% Honduran tax and there is a $5 Roatan
Marine Park fee for all divers and snorkelers on the island. The
proceeds go directly to the Roatan Marine Park and help in their
efforts to preserve and protect all marine life in and around the
