"My New Favorite Dive Shop"
This was our fourth dive trip to West End. The diving is always excellent but we had used a different dive operator each time, trying to find one that best suited our needs. Our search is over because I doubt we'd ever find an operation better than Sun Divers. Mal and Sophia and their staff far exceeded our expectations. Our first dive was West End Wall and it was spectacular. The formations and fish were incredible. The second dive was The Keyhole and while it didn't have as many fish it did have many formations and was at the edge of a sheer vertical wall. Mal was our divemaster and it was obvious that he was very familiar with the dive sites and he did a great job of pointing out creatures large and small. Olman was our captain and provided plenty of help getting us in and out of the boat. Both did a fantastic job. The watermelon that Mal had brought for a snack between the dives was an unexpected bonus. The whole staff was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I highly recommend this dive shop.Visited October 2015

"Great instructors, well kept equipment, interesting and fun dives!"
I just had the week of my life in Roatan, went diving every single day I was there. I had the chance to dive with Brian, Alex and Martin. They are all very skilled and professional divers, they made the dive confortable and fun. They were very knowledgeable about the reef and the sea life. I didnt get a chance to dive with Ellie and Lauren but i did share some time with them and they are some of the most kind and nice people ive ever met. In the shop I was always greeted with hot coffee by the beautiful Sofia and Malcolm making sure everything is in proper order. Dont forget captain Osman making the journeys safe and catching frog fish in the sargassum. Its simply the best dive shop, you cant go wrong..Visited October 2015

"I did it"
I went to try to learn to dive but found it a challenge! The support and help from my dive instructor and all the staff at Sundivers was amazing. I did dive twice. I spent two hours with my brilliant instructor, Ellie, in the bay gaining confidence. Thank you for your time and patience and for the stunning experience. Have a go. There is nothing but good will and support here.Visited October 2015

"Great experience!"
I did my Dive Master internship with Sun Divers from August through the end of September. Over the 8 week course I got to experience what it’s like working within the dive shop, while improving my skills as a diver. The instructors and boat captains are all very knowledgeable, each bringing their own unique skill set to the table.Mal and Sofia were phenomenal instructors. As being a diver for only a couple of years, I a lot of questions and even more follow up questions. Throughout the course they were more than open to answer, discuss, and explain why each decision is made the way it is, allowing me to see the thought process that goes behind every choice a professional diver makes. I also spent a good amount of my assists and leads with Ellie and Brian. They both bring a very calm, relaxed vibe while effectively planning, briefing and leading dive groups. I’d consider myself lucky if I can emulate their abilities. For any prospective DMT, I’d like to offer the following advice:-Don’t try to wrap it up too soon. I’ve heard some people trying to do their DMT within 3 weeks, which seems silly. You’re paying to be educated, so take your time to make sure you thoroughly understand the material. Get as many dives in as you can. Practice your skill set until you get it right. -Do the E-learning. Yes, you’ll still have to buy the DM manual, and I’d even recommend re-reading the manual as a refresher from the E-learning before taking your final exams, but starting your coursework online will help you get a firmer grasp of the material. -Take it seriously, but don’t beat yourself up. These guys are pros, and have been doing it a long time and therefore, they make it look easy. You haven’t been. You’re going to get it wrong the first, and second, and maybe the third time, too. You’ll eventually get it.-It’s a frog coming out of the pond. If anyone tells you it’s a rabbit, don’t listen to them. Finally, while everyone at Sun Divers are all nice and fun people, they do take their livelihoods very seriously, so if you’re looking for a party-all-night mentality dive shop while doing your DMT, this is not the place for you. If you’re serious about becoming a better diver, learning what it takes to run an effective dive operation and how to work successfully in the industry, you’d be hard pressed to find a better outfit or group of people on the island. Thanks, guys, for everything!Visited August 2015

"Amazing service, an exceptional experience!! "
It would be hard to overstate what a quality experience I had with Sun Divers on my vacation to Roatan.  I was on the island for a week and did 17 dives with this incredible dive op.  Being the low season there were several dives where I was the only customer, and had the boat, an instructor and Dive Master in training all to myself.  Every morning I would arrive to fresh coffee and my gear already setup on the boat.  The diving was amazing!!  All of our dives were over 1 hour, and relatively shallow.  This allowed me to take some fantastic pictures!  We dove a different site each time, all were great and most of were spectacular.  I would definitely return to Roatan, and would highly recommend Sun Divers to anyone! I am grateful to the crew and staff of Sun Divers for making me feel at home and giving me a truly memorable experience! I would like to give special thanks to Alex Louis, my guide and buddy for the week.  He is a truly exceptional dive leader, and I feel privileged to have been able to dive with him.  Do yourself a favor, book a trip to Roatan, and dive with Sun Divers!! You’ll be glad you did.  Visited September 2015
